Awaiting Freedom by ashkabob Awaiting Freedom by ashkabob
~*Peering through the wire mesh wall of her cubicle, a young Vietnamese, whose parents hold refugee status, awaits passage to a free life in the West. This was out of a National Geographic magazine. It is ebony pencil on 8.5 by 11 inches on sketch paper..in my sketch book.... approximately four and a half hours of work went into this one. The hands were truly wonderful to sketch....hope you can enjoy it as much as I did*~

it looks like you tried to darken some areas in photoshop or something. next time, don't. it'a quite distracting. next time try adjusting the brightness/contrast instead. you did a wonderful job on the wire, though, and the little boy's eyes are quite expressive. i remember seeing this pic. national geographic has the best photos, no? anyway, nice job.
